A brief about me,

Ambikeshwar Katoch

I started my schooling in Dharamsala [ the town where His Holiness The Dalai Lama resides ] in my mothers school.

I shifted in the first grade to my current school DPS International Delhi. Here I am studying the IGCSE curriculum and have just finished my ninth grade and have passed into the 10th grade. I am currently pursuing the following subjects First Language English, Economics, Math, Hindi, Information Technology, History and Geography.

In my school I regularly participate in MUN's, debates, dramatics.

I am the Captain of my schools Cricket team.

I have played Cricket at the Rajasthan District level. I was selected for the under-14 Rajasthan State Cricket camp. In 2013 my district team Dholpur was runner's up in the Rajasthan under-16 district

I am a blue belt-1 in Taekwondo.

I won a gold medalist in Equestrian Dressage.

I am training under Mr. P.S Sodhi [India Shooting team coach] in the Olympic discipline of Single Trap Shooting.

In my free time I pursue the following hobbies: Dancing [ Ashley Lobo Dance school ], deep sea diving [ certified open water diver ], Chess and drums.

Achievements

  • Apart from receiving certificates in professional riding (Dressage), contemporary dance from Ashley Lobo Danceworx and a red belt in Taekwondo. I am also a certified advanced open water diver from Scuba Schools International.

  • 9th International Junior Shotgun Cup in Finland Representing INDIA (Ranked 9th).

  • 2016 Harvard Youth Lead the Change Curriculum for leadership and social entrepreneurship, Presented by the Leadership Institute at Harvard College.
  • 2016 Represented Jodhpur District in the Rajasthan State U- 19 Cricket Championship.
  • 2016 Ranked 1st in Speed Hop of Rope Skipping at 3rd Ambedkar National Games 2015-16.
  • 2015, October 15th Won the Delhi State shooting championships (2 Gold’s in Men’s and Junior Double trap event, 1 Gold in the Junior Trap and 1 Silver in the Men’s Trap).
  • 2015, July 17th Interned with the Tibetan Prime Minister’s office and researched about how a government functions in exile.
  • 2015, July 15th Shortlisted for U-19 age group of Kangra District Cricket Association held at Dharamshala.
  • 2015 Participated in Lady Shri Ram Model United Nations Conference.
  • 2015 Represented United Kingdom in ECOSOC at BVC Model United Nations Conference.
  • 2015 5 Awarded “High Commendation” at BVC Model United Nations Conference.
  • 2015 Represented Netherlands in the Inter –American Development Bank at Harvard Model United Nations Conference.
